The BLAND issue is The Runcible Spoon’s most tasteless issue yet — a celebration of the beautifully boring, the subtly simple. A remembrance of picky ex-lovers and their condiment-less affairs, of college roommates who loaded their dinner plates up with exclusively white foods.

Instead of admonishing the concept, The BLAND Issue puts a positive light on foods and people otherwise thought too boring. Everything from boiled chicken to plain popcorn (and plain boyfriends) is game for the Runcible treatment.
The 40-page full-color zine is The Runcible Spoon’s longest ever, and its collaged pages feature found materials from travels to Switzerland, Japan, vintage magazines and junk mail.
